One of the best tools in your arsenal when marketing online is metrics. Metrics are quite simply measurements. Measuring the right thing is critical if you want to succeed. Whether you want to measure the effectiveness of a squeeze page, solo ad clicks or traffic, the need for metrics is critical. If you’re NOT measuring you are simply wandering and this is NOT what you want if you want to be successful. One of the best blogs out there for internet marketers is Quicksprout run by Neil Patel. This guy is a legend in the whole world of traffic and SEO and he has a lot of good stuff to say. A great tool he has made available for free is his website analyzer and I’ve used it for robjordanonline.com to assess where I am against some people I like and trust. So if you go to www.quicksprout.com you’ll find the website analyzer tool. Put in your website and add up to three others for a comparison. Like this:

Ok, clearly, I’ve got some work to do. My mentor Marc Milburn certainly has his site sorted compare to mine so I best make some changes! But first, let’s take a look at a broader analysis of keywords, backlinks and social analysis and add on some speed metrics for good measure.

It seems I’ve got some work to do! I will make some changes to my site based on the information provided here and then re-check in a few days, then again in a couple of weeks. I’ll post the results back here so we can see what works and hoq quickly it works. In the meantime, go check out your own websites details. If you don’t yet have a blog, check out my Services  tab and let me set one up for you. You’ll get to benefit from this great tool too!
